Rebecca Yarborough Harris, age 77 of Sanford, NC passed away at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital on Friday, August 14, 2020.

Rebecca was born on July 1, 1943 in Lee County, NC to the late Arthur Lewis Yarborough and Thelma Winfree Yarborough. Becky was known for her caring personality. She hardly ever had a harsh word to anyone. She made friends wherever she went. She also had nursing career for over 30 years, which she retired from Moore Regional Hospital in 2002.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Lynn Wieder (Tom) of Port Charlotte, FL; a step-son, Walter E. Harris Jr. (Doris) of Sanford, NC and a step-daughter, Ellen Marks also of Sanford, NC. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Harris Sr. and a brother, Edwin Yarborough.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 4 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Sanford. Covid-19 guidelines will be followed and those attending are asked to wear a face covering. For those unable to come, the memorial service will be live streamed on the Miller-Boles Funeral Home Facebook page to view at the service time on Friday.
