Woodrow “Woody” Wilson Marsh, Jr, age 75, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, May 20, 2018 at his home.
He was born in Lee County, NC on February 17, 1943 to the late Woodrow Wilson Marsh and Margie Aline Blakley Marsh. He was a graduate of the 1961 Class of Sanford Central High School and attended Central Carolina Technical Institute. Woody was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and served our country in the United States Army. He worked for Tillman TV & Appliance, Mann’s Hardware & Appliance then owned and operated Marsh TV for many years.
He is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Rebecca Lee Williams Marsh; son Erin Marsh and wife Kelly; daughter Robin Hudson and husband Rodney all of Sanford; brother Nelson Marsh and wife Sue of Bear Creek; grandchildren Stuart Hudson, Ashley Hudson, Cameron Marsh, Olivia Hudson, Abbey Marsh, and Keri Ann Marsh.
The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at other times at the family home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 23rd at 2:00 PM at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Burns and Rev. Ira Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
