Hi Bob:

Thank you so much for the article on the Ingram family. I had sent notice of Charles' death to two of my best friends, met in Chile, who are longtime Coca Cola  residents of Atlanta. If you could send me a direct link they can open I would be very grateful.

They wrote to their Coca Cola friend John Adams asking if he knew Charles. John was in fact in his car driving to Charles' funeral when he replied to their email.  I think it would mean a lot to all of them to see the article you have found since the John Adams referred to in the article is indeed their friend who was driving to his funeral  - small world. Obviously they can't see our onsite article but I think it would be nice to have it included for the Ingram's Coca Cola family. Coca Cola only came to NC in 1902 and Mr. Ingram began delivery shortly thereafter.

On another note, I was Charles' date to the Senior Prom  way back when. I must look for the foto which is probably around here somewhere. Remember our band trips? What fun memories I have of all of us.

Thanks again for including me in this. Charles will surely be missed by the Rowdy Lunch Bunch and I will miss seeing Charles when you post those fotos. If you think this email would be of interest to the class, please feel free to use it. The Ingrams most certainly have been good to all of us Sanford people and most of us have our own memories of them.

Always,

Sylvia

Here is  John Adam's Coca Cola posting after driving to Sanford for Charles's funeral on Tuesday.  John is mentioned in the article you sent to me which gives it special meaning. They were longtime friends and I think Charles's class would enjoy John's view of the day. I’m sure First Presbyterian was overflowing and that everyone had their own special memories of Charles.  Nice to see what that's like to someone who didn't grow up in our little home town. Good sentiments for Charles.

With a very ill husband I wasn't able to drive up but my thoughts were with all of you just the same.

John has given me permmission to send this to you for the class site.

Best wishes to Mary Lynn.
