Judith "Judy" Dossenbach Wood, 72, of Siler City died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Wood was born in Nash County on November 9, 1942, the daughter of John R. and Sadie Lee (Blount) Dossenbach.  Judy grew up in Lee County, was a graduate of UNC-G with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education.  She retired from Siler City Elementary School after 25 years of service.  Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Siler City.  She enjoyed serving others and spending time with her family.  She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bobby S. Wood; her parents and brother, Jack.

She is survived by daughters: Beth Wood Warren and husband, Kevin of Charlotte, NC, Lori Wood Davis and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Taylor Warren, Elizabeth Davis and Jackson Davis; brothers: Tom Dossenbach, Alan Dossenbach; sister-in-law, Florence Dossenbach all of Sanford, NC.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00AM at First Baptist Church, 314 N. 2nd Ave., Siler City, NC.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Capehart and Rev. Jim Wall officiating.
